One day, which was today, I decided to watch a couple of videos on Windows Media Player. Then, a few seconds later, nothing happened.
So then, I decided to double-click the file again to see of it would open, but it still doesn't.
so after that, I try to watch some other WMV files, and even they don't respond.
When I tried every single WMV file, I decide to open a FLV file instead, and it worked just fine, just a few stilts here and there, annoying but at least it plays.
So why is this happening, when a WMV file refuses to respond, not even a warning, just nothing, but things are going better with FLV?

Probably not, but are you on a Mac? If so, there's an answer with Flip4Mac.

WMP seems to have more than it's share of problems.
For now, I would try a different player, maybe GOM player as it works with WMVs and Vista. It's about impossible to uninstall WMP and not much easier to fix it. I'm assuming WMP 11, and with Vista, you probably can't roll it back to a earlier version. You might visit MS and see if they have any ideas:

If that page doesn't work, there are links there to other pages.
