  1. Hi,

Yesterday, I recorded a TV show with my standalone dvd recorder.
But when I pressed the STOP button and the dvdr starting fo finalize and update/write the menu it suddenly froze (maybe my dvd+rw was bad, it's an old one I use to record thing and quite scratched and recorded lot of times) and I need to maintain the power button pressed to reboot the dvd recorder.

Now when I put the dvd on my PC, windows recognize it as a dvd-video and start opening PowerDVD. In PowerDVD, I see the dvd menu but it display "Empty disk", the same on the recorder (no finalise because it update/finish the disk after each record).

How can I extract the content with Tmpg Mpeg Editor ?? Does VOB2MPG will work with such an empty disk. The vobs are only 32kb on the disk.

Maybe IsoBuster but it's not free and the demo don't allow to extract (crappy demo).

    Try UltraISO.

EDIT: disregard...I was thinking ISO Buster. ISO Buster should be able to pull all of the data from the disc...or at least most of it. Once you have it off of the disc, then you can work on getting it into a playble format.

I will try with IsoPuzzle, not sure it will work but worth a try.
