I have this posted at the bottom of my first post, but I want to make sure people see this -

An AVI file with Streaming audio, i.e. WMV2 or MP4S -

how do you encode a file like that? is this a new format and if so, is there a new codec out there? Nothing seems to work!

  2. Have you tried VirtualDub v1.3c or TMPGEnc 12a ? they tend to open everything that even the newer versions are incapable of doing.

yes, I have. virtual dub says can't locate the decompressor wmv2 or mp4s"(depending on the file) and tmpgenc crashes just like all the others.

The file does play correctly in WMP. I downloaded the tsunami codec, as someone reccomended, and that didn't work either. I'm on my last wits with this. There must be a new codec out there that is not being shared, as I see alot of people who have downloaded movies in the last month all seem to have this problem - IF one of you has broken the code, please share!

  8. I'm having the same problem as well. Completely frustrating. Sefy, if you'd like me to send the file, I could, but it's about 183 MB....

I see if I can catch you on ICQ and I 'll transfer you the file, in the meantime, maybe I can e-mail you just a few minutes of one of them.
