Anyone familiar with the abilities of the 2800 series routers? Specifically how the HWICs operate with them. The data on Cisco's site doesn't seem to specifically answer my question, or at least it dodges the issue.
I was told that adding a 4-port 10/100 ethernet HWIC to support 5 managed switches would bandwidth limit each switch to a 100/n (n being the number of switches connected to the HWIC or onboard ethernet for the 2800). I thought each port of the HWIC would support 100-base speeds regardless of the devices connected?
