Ok, I just got a 3dfx VoodooTV 100 PCI card and installed it in my 800mzh Duron with Win98SE, 256 meg ram, audio on MB, TNT2 AGP video card and 20 gig HD.

I am capturing from a VCR hooked up with normal coaxial cable.

I am using VirtualDub to capture with the huffy codec and here is my problem.

I follow the capture guide steps that I got from here and it works great except for no sound. The picture quality is nice (except for some white spots in the black areas of the picture) but no sound.

I have tried downloading some demo versions of software DVR's and they all have no sound except for WinDVR, when I change audio source from linein to CD. I don't want to use WinDVR because the quality sucks and the price.

    But in VirtualDub, nothing.

Anyone out there ever have this kind of problem?

I have tried and tried but I am new to this and don't have a clue.

    Thanks in advance.

    Shadow

Check under your sound properties, you probably must DESELECT microphone and SELECT or check the Line In Box under the recording properties.

or simply switch your audio input to the microphone jack assuming you had it in the line in jack and try that.
