Hi all, under the KingViper's template it says that if you have a DivX movie that fits on 1 disk, then it will most likely fit on 1 disk in SVCD. IS this true only because DivX is smaller to start out with? In other words do you have to be coming from DivX to SVCD to get it to fit? I'm under the assumption that it would be less quality if you went from Huffy.avi>DivX.avi, and then SVCD wouldn't it? Rather than say Huffy.avi>SVCD, no?
Thanks
Apach

correct, more times u compress, more quality is lost.
Now divx to svcd
As lng as movie is under 2 hrs or no mroe than 2 hr 10 min, u can put it 1 cd with incredible quality, hardly ANY lost -
How is that? In DivX or SVCD?

Right now I am encoding at 720X480 Maximum 3000 Min 0 Mpg 1, Audio 48000 Khz, 224 K, I am getting like 10MB for a 30 second clip. Can't see where to keeo this and still get a smaller file.
Thanks.

LOL, ur contradicting EVERYTHING i said.
U cant encode like that and expect to fit it on 1 cd.
Besides, whats the point of 3000?!?! to high
and 224 kbit audio?!?! 128 sounds fine for me
and 720x480?!?!,
Unless this is a dvd rip, u need not be using those settings
And that u made the dvd rip also
