  1. I have this problem i´m encoding a incelaced pal movie (like almost any pal movie is) i have been using tmpg for vcd and svcd and having great quality but i want to use dvd2svcd cuz i´m lazy. But it gives me some options for de-incelacing i dont know what to choose. I tryed some de-incelace filter cuz it included "pal" in the name but i want to know what is the best or maby i should not de-incelace it at all ??? i have a pioneer dv-545 if that makes some diffrece. Im am asking you all becouse i want to know what makes the best video quality (dont like choppy playback) this pal based filter works ok but i want to know if there was some better way of doing this

I´m sorry about my spelling and about the length of this thread but i hope for a reply.

    THANKS.....

  2. with PAL's you don't need to use the "de-interlace" filter at all...just make your output video "interlaced" rather than use 3:2 pulldown
