The scrapbook was most likely created with a 3-d animator. Ulead 3-D cool production has a preset that is very similar. You'd only have to swap the pictures out which would take all but a few seconds. You could of course build on it an just about duplicate what you see.

Be aware this is not a one click solution, any animator is going to have a pretty steep learning curve.

You can also do this with any good NLE and photoshop (and a little time)

Knowing that these people are relatively new to video production work, I had assumed that there was some kind of preset template they were working from. I could be wrong about that. I had certainly hoped for an easy solution, though.

I currently use Vegas, Canopus Imaginate, Proshow Producer and Memories on TV, but I have not seen this type of montage before.

Probably but with a little time you could make your own template. The montage part is easy to duplicate, only thing that is hard from what I saw to do from scratch is the part with the book opening.

Thanks for all of the tips.

I think I may have found it. It looks like they are using Mac's iLife, iDVD, iPhoto suite. From the looks of it, it is pretty much drag and drop.

Now, it's up to me to find a comparable PC solution.......
