Hi.
I have been using Toast Titanium on Apple for years, burning DVD+RW of DivX using their UDF/DVD-ROM format. But I have been using Nero and UltraISO to burn the same disc on Windows, but my Samsung refuses to read it.
Pop it into the Mac, erase it, burn it and it works fine....
Why is this so much hard work on Windows ?
any advice ?

I suspect it is the tools you are trying to use and not Windows. Nero is not very good at video conversion. If you need a one click tool...try Convertx2dvd.
