Hello, new here and 1st post. I checked around and was unable to find an answer to my Polaroid DRM-2001G DVD audio problem when connecting to my Polaroid FLM-3734B 37" LCD-TV HDTV.

I tried all audio/video the connections (except the HDMI which I have no cable for yet) on the HDTV to the DRM-2001G and when I turn on the DRM-2001G I can hardly hear the audio. Normal listening volume to me is about 7-10, but when the DRM-2001G is on I have to turn it up around 50 or higher just to hear the audio. Is there something I am not connecting right or did I get a bad DRM-2001G DVR

Does the DVD player have a volume control? Some players have audio controls, in the menu and/or controlled by the remote.

the volume control is on the remote and goes up to 20 which I had it set at and the TV on 20. The TV only needs to be on 5 or 6 to hear it. If the volume worked, then it would of blasted me out ot the room at that level. Thanks.
