This program needs to be worked on some more.

Everything was going just fine, I was flipping through channels and then I went from a 1080i channel to a 720p channel and the program crashed. So I tried restarting the program and it crashed immediately, over and over. So I tried uninstalling & reinstalling, the program started on the 720p channel I had previously tried to change to, but there were no channels in the channel list, so I did a scan and no channels came up.

I did enjoy the quick channel changing though, much better than the Fusion TV program that came bundled with my DVICO card.

A little bit of a side note to this - are they going to be phasing in atsc tuners on capture cards now???? I mean they are starting to do so with DVD RECORDERS so when does it become mandatory for capture devices??

The FCC has issued the following mandates for devices entering the US:
    * By July 1, 2005 all televisions with screen sizes over 36" must include a built-in ATSC DTV tuner
    * By March 1, 2006 all televisions with screen sizes over 25" must include a built-in ATSC DTV tuner
    * By March 1, 2007 all televisions regardless of screen size, and all interface devices which include a tuner (VCR, DVD player/recorder, DVR) must include a built-in ATSC DTV tuner

Anyhow, after restarting and scanning again, the programs seems to have stabilized a bit. It has only crashed once since then, but returned to normal operation afterwards. Now the only complaint I have is that there are some audio-only channels around here and although it does pick them up in the channel scan, when I tune to them it goes to some other random channel. It also does not pick up some channels that I can pick up with the Fusion TV software.

Aside from the quick channel changing, one other feature I like is that it will tell you the resolution of the video you're watching.

It would be nice to know the audio type & bitrate, as well as the video bitrate. It could also use a cleaner interface.

Also there is no ability to record, which is perplexing. The program would be great if it were a freeware program, but for $20, I'll decline.

Maybe as the program grows it will incorporate some newer features, but for now I can't really recommend it to anyone over the Fusion TV software.

Thanks for the input. We'll look into the crashing issue right away. We've checked it with a DVICO fusion card and not had similar problems. Perhaps there's something on a channel in your area that the program is not handling properly. Where are you located? Is there a particular channel that causes problems?

Most of the other things you mention are things we are planning on working on in the future.

The problem didn't come up after I uninstalled, reinstalled & restarted. So I can't really pinpoint exactly what caused it, because I recreate it. Maybe it just needed a restart after the initial installation.

The Program works great! I just downloaded the new 1.0.5 version, and I really like that you can launch it with the TV button on the ATI Remote Wonder Plus. Works much better than that crap that comes with the ATI HDTVWonder they call a media center.

Could you be more specific as to how it doesn't work? We did have a problem with scanning for channels with the latest driver. We added a workaround for it in version 1.0.5 with a "Slow scan" option on the channel scan dialog.

I tried the slow scan option and it works.

Hopefully you guys keep working on the program, it looks promising.
