I may be a little confused about what constitutes a P-UOP. When copying movies with DVD-Shrink, (full disk backup) I leave the default setting "Remove P-UOPs" checked, but in the movies I get, I can't fast forward through the FBI warnings. I can fast forward through everything else, and I'd really like to be able to zip through the warnings too. What am I doing wrong?
Thanks.

PUO = prohibited user operation
Be sure it's removed both from IFO and VOB, and in all rip modes.
DVD Shrink sucks at ripping, it's only a transcoder.
Use something like DVD Decrypter or DVD Fab Decrypter to rip.Want my help? Ask here! (not via PM!)

Or you could run it through VobBlanker first and totally get rid of those FBI warnings and trailers, then it will just start right at the main menu when inserted.

Okay, well, I have mixed results here, so maybe I'm expecting the wrong thing.
First, Noahtuck, I tried your idea, because I've been wanting to try VOBBlanker. It worked perfectly!
But, I first tried using VOBBlanker to just remove the PUOPs; I didn't blank anything, just used the default settings of "Remove PUOPs in VOBs/IFOs." Then I hit PROCESS!! and wrote the resulting files to disk, thinking I would then be able to fast-forward thru the FBI warnings. But I was not able to. (I still got the damn little circle with the line thru it.)
So then I tried using DVD Decrypter to rip the disk. I went through all the settings and options, and checked every place where I found a "remove PUOPs" option. I wrote those files to disk, and still was not able to fast-forward thru the warnings.
Isn't that what "remove PUOPs" is supposed to do? Let you f-f thru the warnings, and anything else you don't want to look at?
Thanks a lot for the help, guys. -
You've got to realize that SOMETIMES the FBI warning is a piece of video, and sometimes it's a STILL and sometimes it's a MENU (still or video).
When it's video, FF & RW makes sense; but there's no such thing as FF inside a Still. And MENUS are stateless (don't act like regular pieces of media--maybe should say they have a special "menu state").
If the FBI warning is still there and the PUOps have been removed both from the VOBs and IFOs, try doing something beside FF/RW like NEXT or PREVIOUS.

Or simply hit MENU or TOP MENU.
FF or REW won't work on a still object.Want my help? Ask here! (not via PM!)

OOOOOooooohhhhh, okay!
Well, this is cool: I found out that the "skip" (>>|) button will skip from one warning or junk screen to the next, and the "top menu" will actually go directly to the main movie menu. Great! This is cool, because sometimes I actually want to see the movie previews, and sometimes I don't. It's funny, though: As it skips, it still shows the little circle with the line thru it. Maybe that's a protest!
Now, (just because I'm curious) in VobBlanker, is there a way to tell whether I'm dealing with a still or menu? The warnings in this particular movie are in VIDEO_TS.VOB, each is in a PGC with one cell and a duration of 00.15 seconds. So that wouldn't be much of a video, but I don't know about these things, obviously. I've gone through the guides, and they're pretty easy to read, but there's an awful lot of stuff in there, and it seems like there must be an awful lot that's not in there also.
