  1. Is there any way to take some video that you have on your track on 1 saved project, and transfer it to another? Copy and pase won't work, is there another way? it is spliced.

you can use duplicate track or use copy and paste (after using select all) or Hold the Ctrl key while dragging to create copies of selected events.

a couple of other methods also ...

all of the above works (except control key method in some versions) across multiple copies of vegas

  3. i tried duplicating the track, how would that get to another project? I am trying to bring spliced/edited clips from 1 saved project to another saved project.

    Example:

I have project 1 that i named "Cool stuff"

I have project 2 that i named "Cool stuff 2"

I want to bring the clips from "cool stuff" over to "cool stuff 2"

    how do i do that?

I use the Sony vegas movie studio.

  5. how do you "open the file" in project 2? When i click file then open, it just loads the second project without anything from the first? elaborate?

are you saying you want to insert part of project one in a EXISTING project two project ?

i'm not to clear on what you want to do here .....

you can copy any part of project to another new or existing project ..

you can save a project (veg file) and open it in another vegas (even while the first is open)

you can frame serve all or part of project one into project two

you can render out just part or whole of any section in any format (a lossless or DV format is best) and use it in another project

you can nest projects and have subnesting (maybe not in the cheaper version of vegas)
