I'm not new to my computer, just new with this ATI HDTV Tuner. I have a Sony VAIO RZ22G, 2.4 P4, 1 gig DDR Ram, 2 Western Digital Hard drives totaling 450 gigs. Anyway, I have recently learned of the Orb website, where you can stream from your home computer live tv, and any thing else stored on your computer from anywhere. I heard that there was an update to ATI so I followed the instructions to update(I know you know where this is going). Anyway, I uninstalled all of the ATi Programs, I went into the registry and deleted ATI folders, I deleted all temp folder entries and even ran CCleaner. I tried to install ALL versions of the multimedia and Wonder Drivers for the HDTV Wonder with no luck. I contacted ATI and was told to update my Sony Drivers which I already did for my video card. The Sony has a 4X AGI 3D Graphics Hardware Acceleration (NVIDA GeForce MX440), 64MB Video Memory (128 DDR). I contacted ATI the next day and spoke to a higher level tech who stated that my Video card would not work with the ATI product. I inquired as to why it worked before and he stated that the upgrade must've signal for the program to not recognize the video card, even though it worked previously. I read off of the box to him the required hardware and asked how was a consumer supposed to make a knowledgable purchase if all of the information needed for this item to work was not advertised on the box prior to purchase. He stated that I should've checked the "website" prior to purchasing the product.

I tried to use the Install CD that came with the tuner, but once I get to installing the multimedia part, I get the erors of either UCI Not installedy on your system and some devices may not work, then a bunch of errors, which does not install anything at all. I've gone back to the older versions as well. If I can't use the HDTV aspect of the tuner card, can I use some type of drivers to just use the analog capabilities so I can use Orb.

I predominantly use the Sony Tv Tuner to record my shows. The problem is that Orb program does not recognize the Sony TV Tuner, only the ATI HDTV card. I don't really need it for the HD signal beause I live in a rural area and have not gotten a good HDTV sinal when I tried.

Any help would be greatly appreciated
