    Hello, I;m a newbie. I just installed an Emerson DV-X1411TN mobile DVD player in my wife's truck and it only plays black&white. I plugged in our home dvd player and it played in color, so the monitor is OK.

    I may have bad player. Any other suggestions as to what may be wrong? Any/all help is appreciated. Thanks....Jeff

    Sounds like the wrong output is selected. This is typical when trying to play PAL on a NTSC TV or vice versa. Ensure your video output is set to AUTO or NTSC (most likely...since you are in the US).
