I am having trouble figuring out how to capture the WMV stream off the NCAA March Madness On Demand web site (http://www.ncaasports.com/mmod/welcome)... I would love to put a couple of last nights first round games on my pocket PC. I ran Ethereal for a packet capture and then tried to d/l using Nettransport. All I keep getting is a ~250k junk file. Here is sort of what I have tried:

I suppose the fact you have to log on and assign a unique session ID may have something to do with my problem. Any one able to crack the code? I just HATE streaming media I can't save! I mean, we've had VCRs for how long?

MPlayer can authenticate Windows mms, and save the output, but I don't know the commands.

Under prefs and miscellaneous settings on the mac version it involves -dumpstream followed by something.

I use a Mac, and it's harder because MPlayer can use Windows dlls to do things.

After visiting the site. I would say you would be lucky to get in at all. They said they doubled server capacity and are using akamai to stream. There is probably more demand than can be met.
