I am running XP SP2, with a GeForce 8800 GTX - although this same problem occured with a GeForce 6600GT as well. The problem has occured in both WMP 10 and 11.
Several months ago I was able to view my movies on my HDTV (through DVI to HDMI) in 16:9, and the movies played fine. This was back when I had a GeForce 6600GT. Then, oneday, for whatever reason, it decided to start acting funky. Now, when I try and play a movie, it resizes and shrinks the video:

As you can see from the screenshots, the movie's aspect ratio has been crushed to a (nearly) 4:3 (Its not actually quite a 4:3 either, as if I set my TV's aspect ratio to 4:3 it cuts of quite a bit of the image). I now have a GeForce 8800 GTX, but the problem persists. Any help would be appreciated.
