Audio out of synch after cut and author

Hi,

I try to backup a VHS to a DVD but the audio comes out of synch.

I connect my VCR->Macrovision Remover->DVD-Recorder.
I record the movie to the dvd recorder HDD. => all in synch.
I copy the movie to a dvd+rw => all OK.
I edit the dvd with tmpg mpeg editor to remove some crap at the beginning and end. After this my sound is out of synch of about 1-2 seconds.
I try to author => still out of synch.

What can I do ?
I tried on several computers with the same programs and all gave the out of synch after tmpg mpeg editor

What can cause this ?

have you tried edit with something else? like videoredo,tda,mpegvcr.
