I'm subbing a piece of anime using Aegisub. The original file is mkv, i demuxed the video so i have now:So i made this really-frame-accurate ass, went to zoomplayer and noticed that the times are shifted! Woah, but that ruins all my work since one frame can mean half a screen in some cases - and i was translating signs and other stuff, too.
- * AVI encoded with DIVX5
* OGG audio file
* ASS script that really is frame-accurate
Then i remembered I heared DirectShow is bad at precize timing. So i made an avs that would use AVISource to load video.. Woah, it works pretty fine - as desired! So I thought: if you can't do it the soft way, do it the hard one (since I don't know any other solution)
Now I want to make it as following: hardsub anime to xvid and make an ogm (since avi doesn't support ogg, at least i thik so). Another problem is in that the anime i am translation is not too silly and some things are very hard to explain to people who know nothing about certain aspects. So I wanted to add an option to choose an ass *WITH* explanatory notes - when i wanted to make an ass-ed mkv. Now I don't know what to do.. Should I make an mkv with both hardsubs and softsubs? Or should I just include a explanatory html file?.. Or maybe there is a solution that can help making the subtitle timing precize enough?..
What would you recommend?
