Hi,
just bought a Sony DCR-PC120e, really cool stuff and I'm very happy with it.
I could use a battery though, and I did a search on ebay and found many batteries that does not have the infolithium feature but the auctions still garantuee that it works with a sony pc120e.
i'm confused because the manual says that the camcorder will only operate with a infolithium
battery.
can someone give me the truth here?
thanks in advance.

I have few replacement batteries for the original infolithium for my Sony DCR miniDV and they all work fine. I bought one extra infolithium and 2 high capacity "knock-offs" made in China (probably same or similar to what you have in mind - Ebay). No issues whatsoever in my case. Seller guaranteed compatibility and there were no surprises.

thank you InXess! now those batteries are REALLY garantueed to work
.
it's amazing how much cheaper these non-original batteries are. I suppose they are in lower quality somehow than the originals but for this price I can live with it. -
Beware, my experience with cheap chinese rechargeable batteries is that they charge HOTTER, and die sooner than other batteries (cease to charge). Your experience may differ based based on your charger, your equipment and the specific battery.
We won't be buying any more cheap chinese batteries.
