    Ok so I can burn DVD's fine, but when I put them back in my disc drive, AutoPlay pops up, I choose to open the disc, and there are no files or anything inside.

    When I go to put the DVD on my parents laptop, it works fine and I can browse the files. Hell is going on?

    I use Nero 7 to burn, and Philips 1 - 16X DVD-R discs.

    Finalizing shouldn't be an issue with -R discs, especially when the discs work in another player.

    My first guess would be a failing burner. Instead of using AutoPlay, just try opening the disc in My Compute or Windows Explorer.
