Hey guys does anyone know how to make "proper" mpeg stills w/audio with vcdimager? I know that the vcd toolkit does it of course. Is this even possible with vcdimager? Thanks in advance....

VCDImager doesn't make or encode source files by itself. You will have to use another tool for that. It is just an authoring program.

right right....what I am asking is I guess two things. Do you have to make the still a certain way (I know how to make mpeg stills, but how do you get the audio with them??) or does the authoring proggy, VCDImager in this case, use a technique that takes an mpeg still and a separate mpeg audio to create the background audio to the still??

OK.
Stills with audio require a still and a separate audio file. You don't mux them together.
A guy called mikk wrote a short guide on how to author this with VCDImager here: http://www.geocities.com/mikk999/StillsWithAudio.htm
