i have downloaded a subtitle file "nowhere.sub" (the only one i could find on the internet) and the thing is that i'm not able to convert it to ".SRT" and windowms mediaplpayer, VLC and all other players wont show the subs when i play the movie. ( i have DirectVobSub installed...)
the format of "nowhere.sub" is the following:
[TITLE]
[AUTHOR]
[SOURCE]
[PRG]
[FILEPATH]
[DELAY]
0
[CD TRACK]
0
[BEGIN]
******** START SCRIPT ********
[00:00:15]
L.A., c'est vraiment...|nulle part.
[00:00:18]
Tout le monde ici est perdu.
[00:00:21]
[00:02:23]
Eh, Dark ?
[00:02:24]
Does anyone have an idea how to make it work or fix it or change it to .SRT ? ( subresync.exe of Gabest VobSub couldn't open nowhere.sub)

open it with subtitle workshop and then save it as .srt
or perhaps you can paste it into notepad and save it as .srt
im not sure whether that works you can try though. -
i tried the notepad "paste" it didn't work... the thing is that the format [00:00:15] is strange... normally SRT have this format:
1
00:00:49,249 --> 00:00:52,082
Metropolitan Police
2
00:03:49,929 --> 00:03:51,362
OUT OF ORDER -
It's a .sub subtitle allright. (Not sub/idx). Subtitle Workshop (or some other text based sub editor/converter) should be able to convert it to .srt
