Hi all.
I have an AVI that I'm converting to DVD. It has subtitles in IDX/SUB format. I can't seem to find a way to mux these subtitles into the DVD using ffmpegX. I don't want to 'burn' the subtitles into the video, I want to be able to select which subtitle to view on my DVD player.
It feels like this should be easy to do, so I think I'm just missing a step here. I am able to view the subtitles in VLC if I choose to load the subtitle files.
Some posts on this forum mention converting the subtitles to a text format (with OCR). That's not what I want to do. The IDX/SUB files are already images (extracted from the original DVD), so I don't want to convert them from images to text, and then back to images.
Any help is appreciated. Thanks,
David

Sorry, idx/sub can't be muxed back with ffmpegX, you can only use them for software playback. You can use the ffmpegX "PLAY" button for that (when the idx file has been selected as subtitle).
