OK, this might be a bit strange. I have two DVDs of the same film. One has good sound, the other has good video. I have ripped both to my hard drive and would like to take the video (or audio) from one and insert it into the other. Can something like this be done?

Assuming they are EXACTLY the same disc, you can demux each vob into elementary streams and swap out the bad ones, then recode back to a dvd. If they are not exactly the same, then you will have lip sync problems.

Many thanks for your helpful reply. Unfortunately, I am not so experienced at this. Could you recommend a program to use for this? One that clearly labels the streams so that I know which is which? Thanks again.

MPEGStreamClip or avidemux should work. The files will be an mp2v and mp2a (or mpega).
