I've been looking around on this forum and on http://www.camcorderinfo.com but I haven't found an answer to my question.
I'm looking for a camcorder that records to a hard-drive, but can record in mini-DV format, and not just in mpeg-2 format. My previous camcorder had soooo many tape problems that I have vowed never to use a tape-based camcorder ever again. But I'm not willing to sacrifice the DV quality so I'm looking for a cam that supports mini-DV but records on a hard-drive...

    Can anybody give me pointers?
    Thanks!

  3. I don't think that MiniDv and inbuilt Hard drive has come out yet. Your only option is a Focusinfo product firestore.
