Hello all,
I have a dinosaur of a hard drive and have been using Ripit4me, DVD Decrypter, and DVD Shrink. The problem is if I have to use anything other than DVD Shrink, I'm down to about the last mb trying to backup a DVD. Is there another program that doesn't create such a huge file? I know it's long overdue to get either a new computer or a bigger hd. Will any version of DVD Fab work?

Get a bigger HD - they're so cheap now. Less than $75 can easily get you 4X your current storage capacity - maybe even more, or spend ~$50 and get one that's more than twice what you already have.
My 2 cents,

I agree, anything you do will take far too much effort for the low prices available NOW, procrastinate and you'll find that the smaller low cost drives will be all gone and you will be looking at an expensive upgrade.
