Look at Video Info and the compression type... this is the special movie titled "what is the concept?"
why is smartripper saying that this is MPEG-1? could this cause any problems or is it just a mistake?
thanks

maybe it is just a little bug and if the vobs files get excepted by DVD2AVi then they are mpeg 2 format
-
smartripper isn't too bright when it comes to displaying video info. however, it's usually correct in stating compression type. usually, it just screws up aspect ratio.
best bet is to rip it normally and treat it as just another dvd rip -
Not so fast... is the video not as sharp as the rest? This is a "special feature", right?
Maybe it was cheaply done, or had to fit in less disc space. MPEG-1 is in fact allowable on DVD's, just not common.
poopyhead is right when he says Smartripper doesn't do DVD info reports very well... but I'd almost be willing to bet it really is MPEG-1, but the res is off.
One of those eternal mysteries, I guess...
