How do you rip all the Special Features off a DVD can someon

How do you rip all the Special Features off a DVD can someone tell me? Anyone have any steps for Smartripper or Clad DVD? I want ALL the special features off the dvd and i do not know how to get them, i just know how to rip the dvd can someone help me? Thanks.

With SmartRipper, rip in "File Mode" and copy and decrypt ALL the VOB and IFO files.

Then use FlaskMPEG on each IFO file and each title to see what goodies lay installed... I personally find this the best way if there are a LOT of additional special features (e.g., Final Fantasy Spritis Within Disc 2 or Star Wars Disc 2). Alternatively, you could use SmartRipper on "Movie Mode" and just explore one title at a time -- but this is time consuming.

In terms of animated menus and still menu screens, they are located in the VTS_??_0.VOB files. Usually, there are all in VTS_01_0.VOB but not necessarily.

VIDEO_TS.VOB will sometimes contain an intro video clip but more commonly a stills screen (e.g., first language selection screen for who disc or copyright warnings).

I use both DVD2AVI and FlaskMPEG when getting the additional features. I find the FlaskMPEG is better if I need a video clip (e.g., animated menu) and DVD2AVI better if I need to get a still screen.

What happends if i just want not the whole disc incuding the movie but only the special features? How do i just get the special Features and not the movie AND the special features? Thanks.

What do you mean exactly? Use SmartRipper to decrypt the ENTIRE disc (i.e., movie and all) and use FlaskMPEG to sift through and to find out what's what. Then encode just the relevant bits.

This is the best way.

If you really wanted to you could decrypt everything else BUT the main movie, but if the movie is part of a multi-title VOBset (which can commonly occur), you'll need to rip it anyway.

Once you've picked what you want, delete the vob files.
