I'd like to know when recording with the LITEON LVW-5006, which of the following disc type
is best to use: DVD+R or DVD-R ?

Also, someone pointed out eleswhere that DVD+RWs don't last as long as others.
Which type last longer the longest?

    Either should work.

Real RWs (rewritables, don't be confused by the RW logo that appears on all + media) are not meant to be used for long term storage.

    Some info here:

  3. Lite-On writers have typically performed better with DVD+R media (I've had three).
