i am using dvd flick, but it takes 3 hrs to make a movie, is that normal?also, can u add chapters using this program

It is converting to dvd-compliant MPEG-2 by the looks of it, so yes, 3 hours is quite likely to be normal. Some of the other encoders such as convertxtodvd or CCE can do better than realtime depending on filters and settings.
According to the changelog you can add chapters in the latest release.
If you're looking for some all-in-one convert anything to DVD kind of tool, I'd recommend convertxtodvd.If in doubt, Google it.
