    I am trying to encode a movie called Samurai X into vcd but when i preview it before encoding it just shows a black screen, and when I tryed to actually encode it it did the same thing. WHAT AM I DOING WRONG?!?!

    I had the same thing.... just changed some settings :S

    are you sure you have the wright codec installed..
    maybe the new output file isn't supported on your pc...

    I have made a few before though its just this particular video. And it plays fine in windows media player, and the one that comes with divx (the Playa).
