I would like to play my PS2 at 480P (progressive scan, PS2 is capable of this) and 480i (NTSC standard) on my LCD monitor. It is a 1440X900 Widescreen Hanns-G with a D-Sub, DVI, and Audio input on the back on the monitor. I have a Radeon X850Pro with a VGA, DVI and S-Video ports. I would like to know if there are any methods to allow this... this would allow me to keep my PS2 in my room as opposed to downstairs/in the living room.

    Any replies are appreciated,
    Thanks!

  2. You could get a vga box from Planar of Viewsonic.

PS2 looks sucky on vga, the games aren't written for vga.

I've been answering this question sin '99. I don't think the answer has changed, plus you won't have any sound, so you need to think of how youre going to get some.

    thats exactly what im asking...
i need advice for an all-inclusive way to get it on my monitor through the normal PS2 ports. I will be using 3.5mm headphones or 3.5mm speakers. I need to know if the best way is VIVO, or a converter, or whatever i need. Inexpensive components are key.
If there is a link to another forum post giving proper and full answers to this question, that would be fine... I haven't been able to find one.

    Thanks again
