I'm trying to find out if anyone knows how to improve the quality of the vdc's I'm making. I'm encoding and burning with nero but when I play the vcd on my dvd player ,the quality is a little shabby. It's viewable but at times you can see squares in the picture. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Use TMPGEnc to encode, Nero to burn. See the guides for setting - then flavor to taste.

During heavy action you will always see some blockiness. That is the limit of the low bitrate used in VCD. Change the bit rate to 2Mb/sec and the blockiness will go away, but you will have have a complinat VCD file.
