Does anyone know the latest and greatest program to tell
me what copy protection system a CD has? It is a navigation
CD (not a DVD). I've tried several times to back it up with no success.
It is not vitally important that I back it up....but I'd like to know what
I'm dealing with before I go any further.
I keep reading safedisc this and safedisc that but I haven't found
a detection utility that is worth a damn....since I have NO idea what
this CD has.
Thanks in advance if you can help.

Clonyxxl used to be good but I haven't had to use it for a long time. Have you tried any tools listed here? http://www.cdmediaworld.com/hardware/cdrom/cd_utils_2.shtml
He's a liar and a murderer, and I say that with all due respect. -
I've been there half a dozen times with no luck. Half of that stuff dates back to 2000....and the newer apps say they detect 4 or 5 different types of Safedisc, Discguard, etc etc...but when I run them on my disc it says just that...SafeDisc/Discguard....never tells me what version.
