    I have an encrypted disc image which is just too large to fit on a DVD-R which I need to compress.

    I need to RIP the encryption out first but I can't find a ripper that will rip from an image, every ripper only seems to be able to rip direct from the disc.

    How can I rip from an image rather than from a disc ?

    You could use Daemon Tools to make a virtual dvd drive. Mount the image and rip from the virtual drive.

    I found a really easy way of doing this on the mac by simply mounting and using MTR....
