I cannot get video (or the camera view) played from my old Sanyo analogue Cam via the AVI input on my Panasonic Recorder to appear on the Panasonic TV. When I connect directly to the AV3 input on the TV it works OK. When I transfer the same cables to the AV input on the Recorder (VHS and DVD) -----nothing. I have the Recorder set to A3 for both VHS and DVD and the TV set to AV3. The screen remains blank. What am I doing wrong?

Baldrick seems to have replied to this saying "I think that one post is enough ----- ". I dont know what this means. As far as I know and can find from a search I have only made 'one post' on this. Presumably I have made some sort of mistake but I dont know what it is! If I did make more than one post I dont know how. Guidance please.

This thread is essentially the same as this:

That's why the latter was locked.

Thanks. I am still mystified how two identical postings have appeared as I cannot see how I could have posted them twice. Possibly its something to do with the interaction of the newness of my computer and the age of its operator.
Anyway my apologies if I have blundered somehow. A short time ago I totally lost all display and hence all control of my computer which only returned after switching on and off several times. I mention this because it happened while I was trying again to get a display via the Video In of my Recorder', this time with another external device (video converter) so I suspect it relates to the problem in my original posting.
Can anyone help with this?clayto
