I am using Camtasia studio to record training videos on 3d software. I have the videos all recorded now to do my test. Now I am trying to export the videos as quicktime (MOV) file.
The reason im doing quicktime .mov files is because this is the standard that are used on CD-Rom training videos from what im seeing. I guess they are mac/pc versatile.
When I check their file sizes of the company's that produce professional videos in quicktime they get the following results:
8 min 41 secs of video in 8.7 Mbs (800x600 resolution)
9 min 14 secs of video in 14.8 Mbs (800x600 resolution)
3 min 27 secs of video in 6.3 Mbs (800x600 resolution)
I tried exporting a video to a few various formats here are my results for a 5 minute video with audio
WMV = 6.7 Mbs - 5 min video
Avi = 33 Mbs - 5 min video
Mov = 33 Mbs - 5 min video
My goal is to output it as a quicktime video...like the pros so i can put it on a CD-ROM for people to play.
How do i get my videos down to the same file size range as they do? Should i use a different program to record my videos other than camtasia studio 4?
How do i get this file size down to about the same par as these other video training people are getting? What software do i do need or codecs and how do i go about doing it? - using PC
