Editing Software

Hello everyone..
My name is Michael and I'm new here.
I strated editing movies not a while ago.
What I basically do is capture video from DV cameras and edit it to DVD movies.
I'm using MotionDV Studio to capture video, and Ulead Video Studio to edit the film.
These are nice programs, but not too professional for my taste.
I'm looking for professional programs to capture and create high level movies.

So I'm wondering if someone here can recommand me of a good software
for capturing and editing video from a DV recording camera.
