I presently work as a video editor for a company in ...... It's more freelancing than contractual as I'm not there for a given 6 month/1 year period sort of thing. Also, I'm paid by the project and the people there are generally easy-going. With this sort of company, how do I go about telling them I will be leaving? Give them a two week notice? I don't have a problem leaving earlier than that, ie, when the last project is done.
What would be the best way to go about this? Thanks for suggestions.![]()

If you already know when you'll be leaving, just let them know ahead of time that you won't be available anymore after that date.

agreed -- just let the person you answer to know that this is your last project for their company and then thank them for giving you the opportunity to work for them (you never want to burn bridges, even if you hate them).

Ok, I will tell them that when the time arrives (finally finding work). Thanks.
