Burning in Media Center XP

Hi,

I'm still fairly new here so i'm not too sure where this should be posted. Please move it to somewhere where it fits in

Okay, so i've put together a media center pc. It works quite happily, with a single analogue input Hauppauge TV tuner. So naturally, i've got a fair amount of recorded TV. Now, for christmas, i bought a DVD burner, a Sony DW-G120A which is apparently just a rebranded LiteOn SHM-165P6S. The problem is, i can't make it work in media center. I can play DVD's in other software (WinDVD) and burn CD's outside of media center, but as soon as i try to play a DVD in media center, or click "Burn DVD", i get the error message "Application Failure"! Any ideas on what i can do?!

I assume the error is with Windows built in burning app? Have you tried another burning app such as Nero or ImgBurn?

Yeah - the error comes up when i try burning inside Media Center. Nero (came with the drive) and works fine with it. I'd just like to use Media Center with it.
