Nero Recode imports main movie as too short

Trying to use Recode (from Nero 7) to encode a main movie VOB ripped using DVD Decrypter. The VOB is 6+gb, and plays fine (full length, good video, good audio) in Nero Showtime. Recode, however, imports the file showing the total length as 8m20s. If I go ahead with the encoding, the resulting mp4 (iPod AVC format) will play, but at 8m21s the video freezes while the audio continues playing. In the Recode preview window, I can slide to any part of the movie, even past 8m20s, and it plays in the little preview window. It seems Recode can "see" the whole movie, but something's telling it to use this shorter timeframe.

Any ideas?

Rip it again with another app, such as the latest version of DVDFab Decrypter.

Thanks! I ripped it using RipIt4Me and FixVTS, as another post suggested, and it seems to have worked. Recode saw the whole movie length and encoded it fine.
