I am curious..
If you burn an img file with something like ImgBurn, then is the region code
defined in the img file or in ImgBurn or in your DVD burner?
If it's in the img file, can it be changed prior to burning?

Even if the region code it still intact in the ISO....ImgBurn and DVDDecrypter(I believe) both default to region free. You can however assign a region code in both programs....even if none exists in the original ISO.
Region Free is best actually....unless you have a problem-child player that insists on seeing a region code on a disc...but that is unlikely. -
Pardon the newb question, but are img files and ISO files are the same?Originally Posted by hech54

CLose enough that it shouldn't matter. IMG files are usually created by CloneCD. DVDDecrypter and ImgBurn have no problems with either and many times an .IMG extension can be changed to .ISO if the app you are using is confused by the .IMG extension, such as Nero.Originally Posted by JustSomeGuy
