Well, I just found out that the latest SmartRipper now generates the D2V file. I was previously using DVD2AVI to frameserve the D2V and generate the WAV. Since SmartRipper now generates the D2V, what do I now use to extract only the WAV (stereo) from the VOBs for encoding with TMPGEnc? What's the fastest?

i really dont suggest you use what the Smartripper makes becuase it only generate the FPs as 25(pal) but if you live in a NTSC stick with DVD2AVI

I'll answer...
NO!
PAL is 25 fps, the 23.976 is NTSC FILM rate, so they are in fact different.
Basically this is a useless feature anyway, until they have an audio dump/conversion feature like DVD2AVI does. If you rip audio off a DVD directly, it is usually .ac3 format, and that in turn is compressed so you have to worry about synch issues later.
Simply use Smartripper to rip rip rip, and then run it through DVD2AVI to do the rest.
