I purchased songs from Napster to use with photo slide show. I can create music CD's using Nero Express and Windows Media Player with the purchased songs but when I try to make a photo DVD and add these same songs, both programs say that I don't have enough licenses to burn the DVD. My brother continues to irritate me with the fact that someone he works with makes DVDs all the time with music by going to MSN and using their photo program (I don't even see a photo program on that site). Very frustating as I know how to backup movies, etc., but I just can't make a simple photo dvd with purchased songs. There must be a solution for this problem if I can make music CDs but can't put them on a DVD. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I've used DVDSanta for those projects. It is simple to learn how to use it and does a very good job. -
Those are purchased songs right?
Two options if your author program won't recognize the protected file:
Burn a cd and rip it to mp3 or wav or whatever format your author program works in.
Option 2:
use a realtime recording program to record the song into another format while it plays in your authorized player. Audacity should work for this or you most likely have a program that came with your soundcard that can record computer sounds, use the "what u hear" option to record what is playing.Donatello - The Shredder? Michelangelo - Maybe all that hardware is for making coleslaw? -
Thanks to all with their helpful suggestions. I ended up purchasing MemoriesOnTV and it works beautifully. Also this program had instructions and pointed me in the right direction to a free download to convert my songs into wav. (CDex) My brother is extremely impressed with all the panning, zooming, rotating and the smokey special effects that I put in the DVD of their motorcyle Colorado ride...lol And it had MUSIC! lol Now he has brought all his picture CDs over for me to create more DVDs for him...I am really enjoying the MemoriesOnTV and it is very user friendly. In fact I think I may end up upgrading to the pro MemoriesOnTV.
