Thank you for taking your time in trying to help me out, I appreciate it.

Im trying to open a video using Windows Media Player and when I do it sais Connecting, and then Sending Request for Codec and then it sais Error Downloading Codec and it just the episode with any sound.

I get the same problem with DIVX as well...

I tried using G-Spot to see which codec I needed and it sais under
    AUDIO
    NAME: ID:0055(MP3) ID'd as MPEG-1 Layer 3
    STAT: Codec is installed
The following codec should be capable of processing this format:
    Fraunhofer MPEG LAYER 3 CODEC

I downloaded that same codec again and installed it and i still get the same error on windows media player when I try to play the episode. Please help!!! What am I doing wrong, why can I hear anything ? Thanks...

Thank you for your help, that was amazing super fast help I really appreciate it.

I check it out and the sound works fine now... question though...
Does this player have lesser video quality or is it just me? Also why isnt there a codec to just install so that the standard windows media player can play the sound on that episode...

Why does this media player play the sound and not the windows xp one? thanks for the help again

MPC has a built in mp3 decoder. Not sure what the deal is with your wmp. Windows comes with an mp3 decoder.

Install FFDShow and Windows Media Player will be able to play back a much larger range of video and audio combinations. Use VLC and stop worrying about it for good.
