Hi... I have purchased a Sony external DVD burner to burn movies on my mac mini made from iDVD. Using Maxell disk. I tried burning my first movie and got a "multiplex error" at the end of the process. When I tried playing the disk in a home DVD player I got a message saying "bad disk"....

any suggestions what I need to do differently?

    Thanks
    Kim

Hey dvkat, there are several things that may cause this to happen. Did you put a chapter marker at the very beginning of you DVD? Don't!!! iDVD automatically puts one in and it may cause problems.
Another thing is if you are getting your video from a camcorder, make sure the audio is set at 16bit.
If it was recorder at 12 bit you may have problems...I'm not sure how to fix that with ffmpegx...
perhaps someone else here could help you w/ that.

Did you check the Apple discussions???

This will take you to the iDVD board. Type in "multiplex error" in the search and I'm sure there are several things you could look at...
    Hope this helped,
    Cheers
