I used this application (VOB2MPG) to combine VOB's to mpgs to be used for a special children's projection
screen. It works great, but I have a question. It is stated that this is FREEWARE, yet when I run the completed mpg file, within the 1st min of the movie, a scrolling banner states that the 'Evalutiaon period has expired, please buy the Elecard mpeg2 video decoder at....." on the screen. I would gladly pay if this is what it takes to remove this banner, but I am confused by the freeware label and no place to seem to change from EVAL . Anybody got a quick answer here, as I am on a timline to be able to get this project set up for the kids.
Thanks All in Advance,
Robert

VOB2MPG is indeed freeware. The message you are getting is from an mpeg2 codec (decoder) installed on your computer independant of VOB2MPG. It is used to play the video. Contact Elecard or look for another codec to do what you need.
[edit] What are you doing with the mpg? It's possible that the codec won't be an issue.Dwight
