  1. I have SIMOCO SM611 mobile handset which is support mp4 file format. In my mobile I have some inbuild mp4 clipings which I can play but I am unable to play converted mp4 file. When I am trying to play the converted file an error message showing "Invalid video file". Why? Please help me...............

    How do you convert?
    What tool?¨
    What video settings, frame size, video bitrate?
    Or are you downloading mp4 files?

    "MP4" is a wide concept. Most phones support a rather narrow subset of that. I suggest Super, and one of the phone profiles.
    WinAVI has a bad reputation, and I wouldn't trust it with anything.
    Also, a DAT is a piece of VCD - Use VCDGaer to extract it to mpg instead.

    which encoding of MP4 did you use (codec)? if im not mistaken your phone supports H.263

    i also agree with the suggestion to use super instead of winavi
