  1. All i want to know is..

Im capturing from a VHS source and onto SVCD resolution, my question is as no one likes to drop frames while capturing, whats the lowest frame droppage percentage until the motion starts lagging? is it right off at 1 drops or is it like a minimal of 10 till it starts jerking?

thats all I want to know thank you!

  2. drop frames while capturing won't make the video lag. the capture program usually sync the video and audio automatically.

  4. depends on your computer hardware, the program have to drop some frames (1 or 2) every several minutes to avoid lagging (out of sync between video and audio captured)

but if drop frames that caused by lack of speed on your computer, the program will automatically sync the video and audio (kinda like doubling the previous frame)

  5. If you capture a FILM source in NTSC, every 1 frame out of 5 is repeated, and it isn't very noticeable.
However, if you drop a frame while recording a scrolling text (CNN or Bloomberg TV), you'll see it right away, it depends on the content.

    depends on the program

VD does that, but Virtual VCR doesnt drop any frames for sync purposes, it uses resampling techniques

Try Vitrual VCR and see if you get the same dropped frame rate
